Overall role and objective

The overall aim of the Press & Public Affairs Section is to increase Portugal's knowledge of the UK and understanding of British Government policies and to contribute towards a positive image of the UK in Portugal. We aim to respond to Portuguese media and public enquiries about the UK, arrange press briefings and interviews, and organise special events to raise public awareness to UK's approach to topical subjects.
